Connections

Brain works with external tools for your company: your accounting system, Google Workspace, email delivery, e-signature, marketing, messaging and meeting tools, your banks and payment accounts. Each connection brings data into Brain, such as invoices, emails or meeting notes, or lets Brain act for you, such as sending emails.

Since October 2026 these connections live on the Connections page of your organization, the same page for every module of Nucleo. Company admins find it under their organization at the top of the Settings panel. Everyone can open it from Brain with Brain > Settings > Integrations, which leads to the same page.

Note
Managing company connections needs the permission to manage system settings in Brain, which Owners and Admins have. Without it you can still see Brain's connections, with View instead of Connect, and connect your own personal accounts.

Read the connections list

The page has two parts. Connected lists what is already active, for every module of your company: each row shows the tool, its status, its last activity and a badge with the module it belongs to, such as Brain, or Brain · Personal for one of your personal accounts. Library, below, lists the tools you can still add, grouped by category, with tabs to show All of them or one module at a time, and Search connectors… to find one.

AreaBrain tools
AccountingFatture in Cloud or Odoo, which feed Finance.
BankingEnable Banking, to read your bank accounts, plus Stripe and PayPal. They feed Banks.
Google WorkspaceGoogle Workspace, Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts and Google Meet notes.
Email deliverySendGrid, or your own SMTP server.
E-signature, CRM and marketingDocumenso, HubSpot, Klaviyo and Meta Business (Lead Ads, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram).
Messaging and meetingsSlack, a certified email (PEC) mailbox or any other IMAP mailbox, and meeting notes from Fireflies.
Projects and knowledgeAsana, for projects and tasks, and Notion, for importing documents.

Some tools are personal: each person connects their own account, and the Library tile counts how many colleagues already did. Tools marked as coming soon can't be added yet.

Add a connection

Steps

  1. In Nucleo, go to Settings > Connections.
  2. In Library, click the Brain tab, or type the tool's name in Search connectors….
  3. On the tool's tile, click Connect. Its page opens.
  4. Follow How to connect. Some tools connect with a sign-in; others ask for an API key or a few account details.
  5. Optional: in History, choose how far back to import: From now on, Last 3 months, Last 12 months or Everything.
  6. Click Connect. Brain checks the details straight away and tells you if something is wrong.

Once it works, the tool moves to Connected. Some tools need another one first: the page says Requires … to be connected. Google Drive, for example, reuses the Google Workspace connection.

The page of an active company connection also has Available in modules, where company admins choose which other modules of the company can use it.

Connect your accounting system

Fatture in Cloud

Steps

  1. In Nucleo, go to Settings > Connections, and then click Connect on Fatture in Cloud in Library.
  2. Click Connect. Fatture in Cloud opens.
  3. Sign in with the account that owns this company. If your browser is already signed in to another Fatture in Cloud account, sign out there first.
  4. Grant access to this company only, and then authorize.
  5. Back in Nucleo, check that the company shown on the page matches your workspace. If it doesn't, pick the right one in Select company.
  6. In Import from, set the first date to import.
  7. Click Sync now.

Odoo

Steps

  1. In Nucleo, go to Settings > Connections, and then click Connect on Odoo in Library.
  2. Enter the URL of your instance, such as https://yourcompany.odoo.com.
  3. Enter the Database name. On Odoo online, it usually matches the subdomain.
  4. In Login (email), enter the email of an Odoo user with access to invoicing.
  5. In API key, paste a key created in Odoo under your avatar > My Profile > Account Security > New API key.
  6. In Import from, set the first date to import.
  7. Click Connect. Brain signs in to Odoo straight away.

After the first import, the page shows what was read: clients and suppliers, how many were matched to companies in Brain, and documents. Documents then update every night; open the connection from Connected and click Sync now whenever you want the latest figures.

Note
With Fatture in Cloud, Brain also checks that nothing is missing: every night it compares the documents of the current year, and every week those of the last two years. What is missing is added, what changed is updated, and a document deleted in Fatture in Cloud leaves Brain's lists and reports.

Connect your personal accounts

Some connections are personal: each team member connects their own account, for example their Gmail inbox, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Google Meet notes or Slack. Nobody else can see your personal connection, and you don't need an admin role to make one.

Steps

  1. In Nucleo, go to Brain > Settings > Integrations. The Connections page opens.
  2. In Library, find the personal tool, and then click Connect.
  3. Sign in with your own account and allow the access it asks for.

Personal connections read your data to fill Brain: emails in your Inbox, meetings in your calendar, calls with their notes on the right timelines. Google connections never write to your Google account, except Gmail and Google Calendar when you allow it, to send your replies and add booked meetings.

Tip
The checklist on your Home connects the same personal accounts, step by step.

Change or disconnect a connection

Steps

  1. In Nucleo, go to Settings > Connections.
  2. In Connected, click the connection's row. Its page opens.
  3. Do one of the following:
    1. Change its settings, and then click Save settings (or Save & re-verify). Changing History restarts the import in the background.
    2. To stop it, click Disconnect, and then Confirm disconnect.
  4. Click Back to Connections to return to the list.
Caution
Disconnecting stops new data from reaching Brain, and stops what Brain does through that tool, such as sending emails through SendGrid. Data already imported stays in Brain.
