Google Drive
Brain works with Google Drive so documents stay where your team already keeps them, while being one click away from the company they belong to. Brain never copies your files: it links to them, and access still follows your Google Drive permissions.
You link a folder from the company page, or manage all your folders at once from Brain > Settings > Data > Drive folders. The tab appears once Google Drive or Google Workspace is connected in Connections; the detail of those connections also has a Drive folders button that opens it.
Link a folder to a company
Steps
- In Nucleo, go to Brain > Companies, and then open the company.
- In the Drive folder card, click Link folder.
- Enter the Folder ID: the last part of the folder's address in Drive.
- Enter the Folder name and, optionally, the Path.
- Click Save.
The card shows the folder name and path, with Open to go to the folder in Drive, Change to point it elsewhere and Remove to unlink it.
Manage all your Drive folders
Drive folders is the fastest way to link many clients at once. It lists the folders of your shared drive, and its title counts how many are still unassigned.
Steps
- In Nucleo, go to Brain > Settings > Data > Drive folders.
- Optional: click Sync now, and then Sync, to read the folder list again from Drive.
- Click Unassigned to see the folders without a company.
- For each folder, do one of the following:
- Click Assign, and then pick the company.
- Click Skip for a folder that doesn't belong to a client. Unskip brings it back.
Use the filters All, Unassigned, Skipped and Removed (folders no longer in Drive), and Search folders to find one. On an assigned folder, Change moves it to another company and Unlink removes the link.
Drive files on deals
Documents that live in Drive can also appear among a deal's documents, marked as coming from Google Drive, with a button to open them in Drive. See Deal documents and sharing.
