Projects

Deliver what you sold: projects that start from won deals and signed contracts, a plan you review and approve, and the catalog of services you sell.

A project is an active engagement: the work you deliver to a client. You rarely start one from scratch. When a client deal is won, Brain creates its project with the deal's services; when the client contract is signed, Brain reads the contract and drafts the full plan: referents, milestones, tasks and subtasks, the approvals expected from the client, and the SLAs you committed to.

A drafted project waits in Planning until the project manager reviews it in Project setup and approves it. Only then does it become active, and Brain starts watching client approvals and SLAs. After that, the project page is where the team follows the plan day by day.

What you sell, and therefore what ends up on deals, quotes and projects, comes from one place: the services catalog.

Note
Viewing, creating, editing and deleting projects are separate permissions, and so are viewing and editing the services catalog. See Users and roles.
