About Feeds

A feed is one file, XML or CSV, with one row per variant of the products that pass its filters. Nucleo regenerates it on its schedule and publishes it at a fixed public address: the channel reads that address and always gets the latest file.

What a feed is made of

TabWhat you set there
GeneralName, file name, format (XML or CSV), Active, the schedule, language and price lists, the product link, images, a default Google category and fixed shipping rows.
MappingOne row per feed column: where the value comes from (a field, an attribute, fixed text or a template) and the transforms applied to it. Apply preset fills the columns of Google Shopping or Meta.
FiltersWhich products go in: status, In stock only, Require an image, a sales channel, categories and excluded SKUs.
RunsThe public URL, Run now and the last 50 generations with items, skipped rows and issues.
ContentWhat the last successful run published, searchable, with the issues to complete and the products left out.

Create a feed

  1. In Nucleo, go to Catalog > Feeds.
  2. Click New feed.
  3. Enter a name and pick a Preset: Google Shopping, Meta catalog or Empty. You can change everything afterwards.
  4. Click Create feed.
  5. In General, check the file name, the format and the schedule, and fill in the Product link domain.
  6. In Filters, choose which products go in, then click Save.
Tip
Click Preview to see the first 5 rows generated from the saved configuration. No file is written.

Run a feed and give it to a channel

  1. In Nucleo, go to Catalog > Feeds and open the feed.
  2. In Runs, click Run now. The file is generated in the background.
  3. When the run is Done, copy the Public URL and paste it in the channel, for example Google Merchant Center.
Note
An active feed also runs on its schedule, by default every 6 hours, Europe/Rome time. The address never changes, so the channel always reads the latest file.

Rows with a problem are listed in Content and in the run's issues: some stay in the feed and should be completed, such as a missing colour or Google category, others are left out, such as products without a price or an image.
