Site search

Shape how your catalog is searched: how queries are read, which words mean the same thing, which filters appear and how results are ordered.

Site search decides what a shopper gets when they type into a search box: which products match, in which order, and which filters sit next to them. Nucleo reads every query the way a person would. It fixes typos, turns words like red or without hood into filters, applies your synonyms and redirects, and recovers when a query finds nothing.

The Search area of Catalog is where you shape and check all of this. The Playground runs the search on your real catalog and explains every result. Queries shows what shoppers typed and where the search fell short, with a proposed fix on each row. Findability measures how much of your available stock the real searches actually reach. Synonyms and Facets hold the rules you work on every day; ranking, redirects and storefront installations are in Search settings, under Catalog > Settings > Search. The storefront snippet in Event tracking brings the searches and browsing of your storefront back into Nucleo.

Note
Today you configure, test and diagnose site search in Nucleo. Your storefront can't call Nucleo's search yet, and there's no autocomplete. The rules you write here are saved and used by every search you run in Nucleo.
Tip
Search understands your catalog through its data. Filling in attributes with Enrichment makes more searches succeed than any rule.
