Connectors

Connections is one page for the whole company: it lists the platforms connected to every Nucleo module on top, under Connected, and below it the Library of connectors Nucleo supports, grouped by category. Each connection carries the badge of the module it belongs to; the ones of your catalog carry Catalog. Every connection is its own instance: two stores of the same platform are configured independently.

To open it, go to Catalog > Settings, and then click Connections at the top of the panel. You can also open it from the menu of your name at the bottom of the sidebar: Company settings > Connections.

Note
The Connections entry is shown to the admins of your company. Connecting, pausing or changing a Catalog connection requires the owner or admin role in Catalog; other roles can open a connection and see it, with the message that only Catalog owners and admins can change it.

Browse the connector library

Use Search connectors… to find a connector by name or category. When your company uses several modules, the tabs at the top of the Library, such as All and Catalog, show the connectors of one module at a time. A number on a connector tells you how many connections you already have with it.

CategoryCatalog connectorsWhat connecting does
Sales channelShopify, OpenAI, Farfetch, Cettire and Tmall.Creates a sales channel in Catalog.
FeedGoogle Merchant Center, Meta, Klaviyo and CSV.Creates a channel for the feed. Channel feeds (CSV / XML) opens the feed settings instead. See About feeds.
Data sourcePLM and ERP.Registers a source whose files you import. No channel.
Storage / DAMGoogle Drive.Connects a Drive for product photos. No channel.

Connectors marked Soon can't be added yet. To ask for a platform that isn't listed, click Request an integration at the bottom of the Library.

Note
Shopify, Google Drive, the PLM and ERP data sources, and the marketplace image packages exchange data today. For the other connectors, connecting creates the channel so you can prepare content, overrides and publication for it; ask your Nucleo contact about the data exchange.

Connect a platform

Steps

  1. In Nucleo, go to Catalog > Settings, and then click Connections.
  2. In the Library, click Add on the connector. The Connect window opens at Step 1 of 2 · Account.
  3. Enter what the connector asks for, such as a merchant ID, a catalog ID or the system name, and click Authorize & continue. If the account is already connected, Nucleo tells you under which name.
  4. In step 2, Instance, enter the Instance name: how the connection is named across Nucleo.
  5. Optional: under Duplicate configuration from, pick an existing connection to copy its settings, or keep Start empty.
  6. Click Create instance.

The connection appears under Connected. For sales channels and feeds, its channel appears in View as and in the Channels card of every product.

Note
Shopify connects through the Nucleo app instead. See Connecting Shopify. Google Drive also needs a service account; see Import product photos from Google Drive.

Read the connected list

Each row under Connected shows the connector, the instance name and the account, the status, when it last synced (no runs yet when it hasn't) and the module badge. Rows are sorted by module. Click a row to open it.

StatusMeaning
ActiveThe connection is on.
SyncingData is moving right now.
ErrorThe last exchange failed. Open the connection to see why.
PausedThe connection and its channel are paused.
DraftThe connection is created but not activated yet.

When nothing is connected yet, the list reads No connection is active yet: pick one from the Library below.

Manage a connection

Open a connection from Connected. Depending on its category, it shows these controls:

WhereWhat you do there
Page headerClick Activate on a draft connection, Pause to pause it, or Resume to turn it back on. Pausing a connection also hides its channel; the message that confirms it has an Undo button.
ConnectionRead the Instance name, the Connection type and the account. On a Shopify connection, Barcode tells you which code Shopify gets as the variant barcode: the primary EAN, UPC, GTIN, ISBN or ASIN of the variant.
Available in modulesWhen your company uses several modules, choose which other modules can use this connection's data. The module that owns it is marked Owner. Only company admins can change these switches.
SettingsTurn on Auto-assign new products so every new or imported product is live on this channel. Saved as soon as you switch it.
Product photosPick a channel under From channel and click Populate to copy every product's photos into this channel. Only missing photos are added; existing ones are kept. The progress of the last copy shows below.
Service accountFor Google Drive: connect the company service account. See Import product photos from Google Drive.
Received data tabFor data sources and sales channels: what the source sent, group by group, and the fields the catalog doesn't know. See Data from other systems.

To go back to the list, click the arrow chip next to the connection's name.

Map attributes and languages for a sales channel

A sales channel connection has an Attributes tab and a Languages tab that tell Nucleo how your data maps onto the platform. Changes are saved as you make them.

  • Attributes: for each attribute, pick a Target: Metafield, with an identifier in the namespace.key form; Tag; or Ignore, so the attribute isn't sent. The counter shows how many are mapped.
  • Languages: map each of your languages to a language on the platform. Unmapped languages aren't published.
Note
These mappings are stored with the connection and apply when products are sent to the platform. For Shopify, whether products are sent depends on the direction of each flow in the Shopify setup. The Streams tab lists the kinds of data the connection is meant to carry and in which direction.
