What Atomo can do in Catalog

Atomo doesn't just answer questions: it does the work, within the limits of your permissions and your company's settings. It acts immediately on changes that are clear, small and easy to undo, and shows you a preview first for anything where a mistake is costly.

Find and understand

  • Search and list products by status, brand, type, completeness or missing translation, and spot gaps such as products without images, categories, prices or SEO.
  • Show what it found as a view next to the chat: a grid or a table of products, a comparison, a chart. See See what Atomo shows you.
  • Open a product in full: attributes, variants and sizes, prices and stock.
  • Read the state of the catalog, the category tree, markets and languages with their translation coverage, and the history of your imports.
  • Answer numeric questions, such as averages, totals, rankings and percentages, computed on the whole catalog.
  • Read the files you attach: photos, PDFs and sheets.
  • Look things up on the web when you ask, and cite its sources under the answer.
  • Browse the asset library: assets, folders, tags, delivery presets and shared links.

Create and change

  • Create a new product (it starts in Draft), duplicate one, or edit its title, description, status, product type, brand or SKU.
  • Create many products at once from a file you attach. See Create products from a file.
  • Fill a product with its suggestions: attribute values recognized in the title and description, the attribute set and the categories, without overwriting fields you've already filled.
  • Turn what it found on the web into attribute proposals, which wait for your approval in Enrichment, marked Found on the web.
  • Select every product that matches a filter and change them together: status, attributes, categories, or assignment to a channel.
  • Export the products it showed you as a CSV file, with a download button in the chat.
  • Create a sale price list from a base list, for a selection or for the whole catalog.
  • Start a work that makes available products findable. See Measuring findability.
  • Do what the pages do: attributes and attribute sets, categories, languages, channels, currencies, locations, price lists, stock, variants, images, translations, SEO, channel overrides, related products, merchandising, search settings, imports and exports.
  • Manage the asset library: edit asset metadata, move and tag assets in bulk, organize folders and revoke shared links.

Learn when Atomo acts directly

Atomo makes these changes right away, then tells you in a sentence what it did:

  • creating or duplicating a product;
  • editing a single product, or filling it with its suggestions;
  • a change to up to five products at once that doesn't touch a channel;
  • up to three small changes in one go, such as creating an attribute.

This applies only until Atomo reads text it can't trust. Product titles, descriptions and attribute values can come from imports, Shopify or suppliers, so once Atomo has read them in a conversation, even a single edit goes through a preview card first.

Every change Atomo makes to a product is recorded in the product's Activity, with Atomo as the author, and you can restore the previous value of each field. See Restore a previous value.

Learn when Atomo asks you first

For anything where a mistake is costly, Atomo shows a preview card, such as how many products and what changes, and waits for your Confirm or Cancel:

Kind of changeExamples
Deleting, or replacing a whole objectDeleting a product, an attribute or a category; rewriting a whole price list rule set.
Many products at onceA change to more than five products, or more than three changes in one go.
ChannelsPublishing, unpublishing or syncing products on a channel, even for a single product.
Imports and exportsRunning an import, building an export or an image package.
Heavy catalog workApplying or reverting enrichment, launching AI proposals across the catalog, generating variants, assigning a strategy to several categories, restoring a past version, recomputing.
Prices that take effect at onceCreating a price list that is active, or that covers the whole catalog or more than five products.
Answers built on outside contentAny change proposed after Atomo has read product texts, import history, a web search or an attached file, in this answer or earlier in the conversation.
Note
Confirmation is enforced by Nucleo, not by the assistant's judgement. In the chat, only your click on Confirm under the preview applies the change: typing yes is not enough, and Atomo can't confirm on its own. An instruction hidden in a product text, a web page or an attached file can never trigger a change you haven't seen and approved. Each preview can be confirmed once. In voice mode a spoken yes confirms, unless Atomo has read untrusted text: then you confirm with the button in the chat.

See what Atomo did

After a change, the page on the left opens on the result: the product Atomo edited, duplicated or filled, the product list after a bulk change, the new price list, the attribute just created, the categories, the merchandising or search page, the import or export, or the asset library. When nothing needs to move, the current page refreshes to show the new data.

Tip
Check the result on the page before moving on, and restore from the product's history if something isn't right.

Understand Atomo's permissions

  • Atomo acts with your role: viewers can ask anything but can't change data through Atomo, and actions reserved to owners and admins stay reserved when you ask Atomo.
  • Some areas stay out of Atomo's reach: connections and integrations, shopper data, the company's Atomo settings, and deleting products in bulk. Do those from the pages.
  • Atomo sees only the data of your active company.
