Views, files and work with Atomo
When an answer is better seen than read, Atomo composes a view: a grid of products, a table, a comparison or a chart, built from your real catalog. The view opens next to the chat, over the page you were on, and you can keep it, export it or open it as a page.
Atomo can also turn an attached file into products to create, and carry out longer work with you, where it prepares proposals and you decide.
See what Atomo shows you
Ask for something to look at, such as show me the jackets out of stock in size M or compare these three products. While Atomo composes, the view says Atomo is composing…; then it opens next to the chat, with Generated by Atomo and the time.
- A product grid or table shows each product with its photo and the columns Atomo chose, such as SKU, Status, Price, Stock, Sold or Completeness. Click a product to open it.
- Figures and charts are computed from the catalog every time the view opens: nothing is made up by the assistant.
- To close the view, click Close.
Pin, export or open a view as a page
At the top of a view:
- Click Pin to keep it at the top of Atomo views in the history. Click Unpin to release it.
- Click Export CSV to download the products it shows. The button appears only on views with products.
- Click Open as page to open the view full width. From the page you can also delete it with Delete the view.
To find a view again, open Atomo, click History, and click the view under Atomo views.
Create products from a file
Steps
- Open Atomo and attach a sheet or a PDF that lists the products, such as a supplier's line sheet. See Attach files to a message.
- Ask Atomo to prepare the products, for example
create these products. - In the Products to create view, check the rows. Each row shows Title, SKU, Type, Brand and Description, and its status: Ready or To fix. Click Only to fix to see only the rows with a problem.
- Fix the rows in place: a missing title, an SKU already in the catalog or repeated in the file, a type or brand to pick. Changes save as you type. An empty SKU is shown as automatic.
- Click Create _n_ products as drafts.
The products are created in Draft, and each row then shows Created with a link, or Not created. More than 50 rows are created in the background: the view shows the progress, and you can keep working.
Read sources and web results
Under an answer, Sources lists what Atomo relied on: an attached file with its page, or the web pages it searched. When Atomo searched the web or ran a calculation, a chip under the answer says web search or code.
Values Atomo finds on the web never go straight into your products: they become proposals marked Found on the web in Enrichment, where you approve or reject them.
Follow the work Atomo carries out with you
A work is a longer job Atomo carries out with you, step by step, with your decisions in the middle. Today Atomo carries out one kind of work: making available products findable. It measures how many available products the real searches reach, proposes the missing attribute values in groups, waits for your decisions, applies what you approved and measures again.
Works are started and listed in Catalog > Search > Findability, under Atomo work. You can also ask Atomo to start one from the chat. For the steps, see Let Atomo make available products findable.
Considerations for views, files and work
- Views and works need a connected store: they're built on your real catalog.
- A view keeps the question it answered, not a frozen copy: reopened later, it shows today's figures.
- Creating products from a file and applying a work change your product data. Review them as you would any change made by a colleague.
