Reviewing and sending drafts

Nucleo never sends a message on its own. Every reply it prepares, from a Reply suggestion on your Home or when you ask Atomo, is saved as a draft in Inbox > Drafts until you confirm it. Email drafts are replies to everyone in the same thread; Slack drafts answer the conversation they came from.

Drafts are saved in Nucleo only. They don't appear among your Gmail drafts: the email reaches Gmail when you send it.

Read the Drafts list

Drafts has two tabs: To send for drafts waiting for you, and Sent for the ones already sent. Each draft shows the recipients, or the Slack conversation, and the subject or the first line.

StateWhat it means
Atomo is writing the reply…The text is still being prepared. The draft updates by itself when it's ready.
Not sent — see the errorSending failed. Open the draft to read why, fix it and send again.
Sent from NucleoYou sent it with Send.
Sent from GmailYou answered the thread directly in Gmail, so Nucleo closed the draft for you.
Answered from SlackYou answered the conversation directly in Slack, so Nucleo closed the draft for you.

Review and send a draft

Steps

  1. In Nucleo, go to Brain > Inbox > Drafts.
  2. In the To send tab, click a draft.
  3. Optional: Click Open the email or Open the chat to read the original conversation.
  4. Check To, Cc and Subject, and edit them if needed. The sender is in To and the other participants of the thread are in Cc; you are never included.
  5. Review the text and edit it.
  6. Optional: Click Attach to add a file. To remove one, click the cross next to it.
  7. Click Send.

Emails go out from your Gmail, in the same thread; Slack messages go out as you. The draft moves to the Sent tab, and the Home suggestion it came from closes by itself.

Tip
You don't have to fix the greeting: when you send, Nucleo adjusts it to the time of day, for example from Good morning to Good afternoon.

Save or discard a draft

  • To keep your changes and come back later, click Save. The draft stays in To send.
  • To drop a draft you don't need, click Discard.
Caution
A discarded draft can't be recovered. To reply later, start again from the suggestion or ask Atomo.

Allow Nucleo to send from your Gmail

To send email from Nucleo, your Gmail must be connected with write access. If it isn't, the draft shows a message and Send stays disabled.

Steps

  1. Open the draft.
  2. Click Connect Gmail or, if Gmail is already connected in read-only mode, Reconnect Gmail.
  3. Sign in with the same Google account and allow write access.

Back in Nucleo, Send becomes available.

Considerations for drafts

  • A draft needs some text before it can be sent.
  • Each attachment can be up to 20 MB.
  • Ignoring a Reply suggestion on the Home also discards the draft prepared for it.
  • Atomo can also send a draft for you, but only after you confirm in the chat.
