Inventory

Catalog > Catalog > Inventory shows stock on hand across your locations in one grid: one column per location and a total per product. When Nucleo has sales data from your orders, the same grid tells you whether a size ran out because it sold, or sits because nobody wanted it.

The page is for reading. Stock is changed on each variant, in the product's Variants tab, or loaded with an import.

Read the key figures

CardWhat it shows
Units on handTotal units across the network, with the number of SKUs in stock and of locations.
One card per locationUnits at that location and the number of SKUs stocked there.
Stock-outsProducts that were selling and have been missing for over 3 months. Shown when sales data is available.
Idle stockUnits on variants that never sold. Shown when sales data is available.

When sales data is shown, a line under the cards gives the period it covers and whether the figures are totals across all your warehouses or per warehouse. If part of the data couldn't be loaded, a line at the top of the page says so: reload the page before relying on the figures.

Read the inventory grid

ColumnWhat it shows
ProductThe product. Click the arrow to expand it into one row per size.
One column per locationUnits available at that location.
SoldUnits sold in the period.
Sell-throughThe share of stock sold. Highlighted from 90%.
Out of stockThe longest time a size has been out of stock, in days. Highlighted over 90 days.
Idle sizesSizes that never sold out of the product's sizes, such as 3/8.
TotalUnits across every location. Click the header to sort.

Sold, Sell-through, Out of stock and Idle sizes appear only when Nucleo has sales data for your products. A dash means there is no data for that product, not zero.

Search and filter the inventory

The bar above the grid works like the one of the product list: search as you type, paste a list of SKUs, add filters, and apply your saved views. See The product list.

Click a product row to open the product editor, where stock is kept on each variant.

Change stock

  • To change the stock of a few variants, open the product, click the Variants tab and edit the Available field. It writes to your default location. See Edit SKUs, barcodes and stock.
  • To load stock for many products or locations, import a file with the Location and Stock available columns. See Importing data.
  • To take a stock snapshot out of Nucleo, use the Inventory export: one row per variant and location. See Exporting data.

Considerations for inventory

  • Only active locations are shown.
  • With a single warehouse the figures are the same whether totalled or per location. Once you have several, check the line under the cards before comparing locations.
  • Store-level stock operations, such as counts and transfers, are part of Nucleo Commerce. See Store stock.
