Setting up your workspace
A new Brain workspace is empty. The fastest way to fill it is to connect the tools your company already uses, such as your invoicing software, so Nucleo can import companies, documents and finance data on its own. The Workspace setup wizard walks you through that choice the first time anyone opens Brain for the company.
Until the setup is finished, Brain stays on the wizard: the sidebar shows only Setup > Workspace setup, and any other Brain page brings you back to it. Once someone finishes the wizard, it disappears for the whole company.
Steps of the wizard
| Step | What you do |
|---|---|
| Welcome | Read what the setup does. Nothing to fill in. |
| Select | Pick the tools your company uses from the list of connections. Search by name or category. |
| Configure | Connect each tool you picked, one card per tool. |
| Finish | Complete the setup and open Brain. |
You can move between steps with Back and Continue, or by clicking a step name at the top. The wizard remembers the step you reached and your selection in this browser, so you can close it and come back.
Complete the workspace setup
Steps
- Open Brain. If the workspace hasn't been set up yet, the Workspace setup page opens.
- Read the Welcome step and click Continue.
- In Select, click each tool your company uses. A selected card shows a check mark.
- Cards marked Connected are already active and count as selected.
- Cards marked Coming soon can't be selected yet.
- Use Search connections to find a tool by name or category.
- Click Continue. The button shows how many tools you selected.
- In Configure, follow the instructions on each card to connect the tool. ERP and invoicing tools, such as Fatture in Cloud and Odoo, are grouped under ERP, the others under Integrations.
- Click Continue, and then click Finish setup.
Brain opens on the Home page. Connections keep working in the background, and the first imports can take a few minutes.
Connect your personal accounts
The workspace setup connects company tools. Each person then connects their own accounts, such as Gmail, Google Calendar and Slack, from the checklist on their Home. See Get Brain ready for your work.
Considerations for the workspace setup
- The wizard appears only once per company. After it's finished, the setup page isn't reachable any more, and connections are managed from Settings > Connections. See Connections.
- While the wizard is open, the topbar hides the search, the Help menu, the notification bell and your user menu. You can still switch company and module from the sidebar.
- If a message says that a new version of Nucleo was deployed, refresh the page and click Finish setup again.
