Pages
Pages live in a tree for each site: a home page, sections and nested subpages. A page is a sequence of typed blocks, such as a hero, rich text or a gallery, and has one translation per language. Each language is saved and published on its own.
You find pages under Brain > CMS > your site > Pages.
Read the page tree
The Pages tab lists the pages in their tree, with the home page marked Homepage. There is one column per language, with the page's status in that language:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Published | The language is live and matches what you last published. |
| Published · draft | The language is live, and there are saved changes not yet published. |
| Draft | The language has been written but never published. It isn't served. |
| A dash (—) | The page has no translation in that language yet. |
Create a page
Steps
- In Nucleo, go to Brain > CMS, and then open the site.
- In the Pages tab, pick where the page goes in Parent page: Top level, or under an existing page.
- Click New page. The page editor opens.
To make a page the site's home, click Set as home on its row.
Edit a page
Steps
- In the Pages tab, click the page.
- Pick the Language tab you want to write. A language marked Not created yet starts empty.
- Enter the Title. With Auto from title ticked, the Slug follows the title; untick it to set the slug yourself.
- To add a block, pick a Block type, and then click Add block. Fill in its fields.
- Use Move up and Move down to order the blocks, and Remove block to delete one.
- Fill in the Meta title and Meta description that search engines show.
- Click Save, or Save & close to go back to the list.
Saved changes are a draft: the live site doesn't change until you publish.
Block types
| Block | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Hero | A heading with subheading, background image and a button. |
| Rich text | Formatted text. |
| Media + text | An image beside text, with the image on the left or right. |
| Feature grid | A heading and a list of features. |
| Gallery | A set of images. |
| Call to action | A heading with a button and its link. |
| FAQ | A list of questions and answers. |
| Collection list | The entries of a collection, with a maximum number of items. |
| Form (Hub) | A contact, demo request or newsletter form. What visitors send arrives straight into Brain. |
| Embed | Embed code from another service. |
Text fields marked as translatable take a value per language. For image fields, paste the file's URL from the Media tab.
Publish a page
Steps
- Open the page and pick the Language tab.
- Click Publish.
That language goes live, and Brain records a revision. If your frontend has a revalidate address, Brain calls it so the site refreshes the page. See Site settings. Publish each language separately.
Restore an earlier version
Each publish creates a revision. Brain keeps the last 20 for each page and language.
Steps
- Open the page.
- In Revisions, find the version you want, and then click Restore.
- Confirm with Restore.
The revision becomes the current draft for that language. The live version stays as it is until you publish again. Unsaved changes in the editor are discarded.
Delete a page
In the Pages tab, click the trash icon on the page's row, and then click Delete.
