Shopper profiles
The Everyone tab of Profiles is the picture of your customer base, built from your orders and, when installed, your storefront events. Click a bar to see the people behind it, download them, or save the group to follow it over time.
You find it in Catalog > Shoppers > Profiles. You need the Owner, Admin or Editor role.
Read the key figures
A line at the top says which calculation you're looking at (for example, the fifth time the profiles were computed), when it was published, and how many shoppers, orders and storefront events it read. The cards below sum it up:
| Card | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Profiled customers | Customers with a profile, and the orders read. |
| Came back at least once | Customers with more than one order, their share of everyone, and how many have five orders or more. |
| Not seen in six months | Customers whose last order is more than six months old. The figure depends on how far back your orders go, shown next to it. |
| One-time buyers | Customers who ordered once and never came back: the list for a second-purchase nudge. |
| Never bought on sale | Customers who always paid full price: the list to look at before discounting. |
| Return more than 40% | Customers who send back more than 40% of what they buy. |
Read the charts
| Chart | What it shows |
|---|---|
| How often they come back | The usual gap between one order and the next. Customers with one order aren't counted. |
| How long since the last order | Everyone, grouped by the time since their last order, including those who ordered once. |
| What they send back | How much comes back, per customer. Below it, the items returned and why, with the return reasons customers chose in your Shopify store, as written there. |
| What they pay | The share bought on sale, compared with today's base list price. A difference within 5% isn't counted as a discount. |
| Which language they order in | The language of their orders. |
| Which size they take | The size customers keep, for your three largest groups, such as women's or men's, with up to six sizes each. Only sizes Nucleo is sure of: customers who buy mixed sizes have none. |
See the people behind a figure
Steps
- In Nucleo, go to Catalog > Shoppers > Profiles, in the Everyone tab.
- Click a bar in one of the charts.
- Read the panel: it says how many customers are in the group and lists the 50 who ordered most recently, with their orders, how long since they were last seen, their return rate, their usual size and the other groups they belong to.
- Optional: click a customer to open their history in One shopper.
Download a group as CSV
Steps
- Open a group by clicking a bar.
- Click the download button, which shows how many customers it holds, such as Download all 1,240 as CSV.
The file holds every customer in the group, not just the 50 listed. It opens correctly in Excel, accents and special characters included.
Save a group
A downloaded file is a snapshot. A saved group keeps the rule, not the list: every time the profiles are rebuilt, the group is counted again, and the previous count stays next to it.
Steps
- Open a group by clicking a bar.
- Click Save this group.
- In Name, type a name of at least two characters, such as
Wake them up before the sale. - Optional: in Note, write why the group exists or what not to do with it.
- Click Save.
The group appears in Groups you named, above the charts, with its current count and how it changed since the previous one: first count the first time, unchanged if nothing moved, or the difference, such as +120. A group that hasn't been counted yet shows not counted yet.
Use or forget a saved group
In Groups you named, each group has three actions:
- The download icon (Download the whole list) downloads the whole list as it is today.
- Open shows the people in it.
- The trash icon (Forget this group) stops keeping it. Click Forget it to confirm.
Forgetting a group only stops the count: nobody's data is touched. The Groups you named panel appears only once at least one group is saved.
Considerations for shopper profiles
- Profiles are rebuilt automatically every night from your orders and storefront events. If none has been published yet, the page says No profiles computed yet.
- The Everyone and One shopper tabs appear only for a connected store. Otherwise the page says A connected store is required.
- Viewing people, downloading lists and saving groups require the Owner, Admin or Editor role.
