The services catalog
The services catalog is the single source of what you sell. Deals pick their lines from it, AI recognizes its services in the quotes it reads, and projects inherit them when a deal is won.
You find it under Brain > Settings > Company > Services.
Read the catalog
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Service | The name of the service or product. |
| SKU | Its unique code. |
| Category | The group it belongs to. |
| Unit price | The list price. |
| Flags | recurring for services billed periodically, inactive for services hidden from new deals. |
Use Search services to find a service. Click a row to open its page.
Add a service
Steps
- In Nucleo, go to Brain > Settings > Company > Services.
- Click Add service.
- Enter the SKU, the Name and the Type, such as
one_timeorrecurring. - Optional: enter the Category, the Unit price and the Currency.
- For a service billed periodically, check Recurring and fill in the Recurring period, such as
monthlyoryearly. - Optional: add a Description.
- Check that Active is on, and then click Create.
The SKU, Name and Type are required. SKUs must be unique: if the code is already used, Brain asks you to pick another or edit the existing service.
Edit or deactivate a service
Steps
- In Nucleo, go to Brain > Settings > Company > Services, and then click the service.
- Click the pencil icon.
- Change the fields you need. To stop offering the service, switch off Active.
- Click Save.
Tip
Switch off Active rather than deleting a service you no longer sell: it disappears from new deals, while deals, quotes and projects that already use it stay intact.Delete a service
Open the service, click the trash icon, and then click Delete to confirm. The service is removed from the catalog.
How services are used
- On a deal, each service becomes a line with a quantity and a unit price, and recurring services also have a number of months. The deal value is computed from the lines. See Add a deal.
- When Brain reads a quote document, it matches the lines to your catalog and adds them to the deal.
- When a client deal is won, its services become the services of the project.
