Transfers and movements

All movements is the one list of every stock movement in your store network, read from Shopify: supplies from the warehouse, transfers between stores, returns. In transit is the short list that matters on the floor today: only what is currently on its way.

You find both under Commerce > Stores > Movements. Transfers are created in Shopify and appear here automatically within a few minutes.

Find a movement

Steps

  1. In Nucleo, go to Commerce > Stores > Movements > All movements.
  2. Optional: in the Search and filter bar, type a transfer reference or a location name.
  3. Optional: in the same bar, add a filter on Type, Status or Store, pick one or more values and, if you need, switch to Is not.
  4. Optional: click the Transfer, Origin, Destination or Units column header to sort. Click it again to reverse the order, and a third time to go back to the default order.
  5. Use the page controls under the table to move through the list: 50 movements per page by default, or 25 or 100.
  6. Click a row to open the movement.
Tip
To see only what is arriving, go to Commerce > Stores > Movements > In transit. It has the same columns and filters, without Status. The bar works like the one of the product list, including views saved in your browser: see The product list.

Sync with Shopify now

Nucleo reads your transfers from Shopify every two minutes. If you've just created or received a transfer and want to see it now:

Steps

  1. In Nucleo, go to Commerce > Stores > Movements > All movements or In transit.
  2. Click More actions > Sync Shopify. When the list is up to date, you see Shopify transfers synced.
Note
Sync Shopify needs the Agent or Admin role.

Read the movement page

The movement page collects everything about one transfer. The title shows the type and the reference, such as Inbound #T0012, with the status next to it. The arrows at the top right move to the previous or next movement of the list you came from.

PartWhat it shows
Expected, Accepted, Not foundUnit counters: the units in the shipment, the units accepted (with the share of expected, or awaiting receipt), and the units not found (with review the differences when there are any).
Partial receiptOnly for a transfer in transit received in part. See Check a partial receipt.
ProductsOne row per line: product with image, name and size, Expected, Accepted, Not found, Reason (when some units weren't found) and Δ (accepted minus expected). Search by name, SKU or size and filter by Result (Matched, Short, Over, Not found, Pending); 25 lines per page by default.
Items not on this transferWhat differs from the Shopify packing list. See Review the items that differ from the packing list.
RouteFrom and To, with the day the transfer was created and the expected arrival (Arrival to be confirmed when not set).
ShipmentTracking code, Carrier and Expected arrival, or Not provided when Shopify doesn't have them.
TimelineThe history of the movement grouped by day, most recent first, including receiving events.

To open the same transfer in your Shopify admin, click More actions > Open in Shopify.

Download the delivery note

Steps

  1. Open the movement.
  2. Click More actions > Download delivery note (DDT).

Nucleo downloads a one-page PDF delivery note built from the transfer: origin, destination, dates and every product line with SKU, size and quantity. It's available at any stage of the transfer.

Considerations for movements

  • Create and receive transfers in your Shopify admin as usual. Nucleo doesn't create transfers.
  • The type of a movement depends on the names of its locations. If a warehouse shows up as a store, check its name in Shopify. See How movements are classified.
