Transfer alerts

Alerts is where Stores does its real work on transfers: instead of re-reading lists, you get one entry for each thing that needs attention. Alerts are worked out automatically from the movements — nobody has to report them — and always reflect the movement as it is now.

You find it under Commerce > Stores > Alerts. Every role can read it.

Read the alerts page

At the top, three counters: Open alerts, Overdue and Resolved. Below, the list — open alerts first, most recent on top, 50 per page by default:

ColumnWhat it shows
AlertThe type badge and a short description, such as 3 units missing at receipt.
TransferThe transfer reference, with its type underneath.
StoreThe store affected: the destination store, or the origin store for a return.
UnitsHow many units the alert is about.
RaisedWhen the alert was raised. An Overdue alert is raised when the 24 hours pass, not when the transfer was created.
StatusOpen or Resolved.

Click the Units or Raised column header to sort by it.

Work through your alerts

Steps

  1. In Nucleo, go to Commerce > Stores > Alerts.
  2. Optional: in the Search and filter bar, search by transfer reference, location or description, or add a filter on Type, Store or Status.
  3. Click an alert. The row opens and shows the route, from origin to destination, and when the alert was raised:
    1. For a Partial alert, it also lists the products of that transfer still missing or in excess, with Expected, Received, Missing and Extra.
    2. Click View transfer to open the movement, where you see the lines involved and can record why units were not found.
Caution
Agents and Admins also see Mark as resolved on an open alert, with a confirmation. The change isn't saved: the alert is open again when you reload the page, and colleagues never see it as resolved. To close an alert for good, fix its cause in Shopify — the alert follows the movement.

Considerations for alerts

  • Alerts follow the movement. When the goods of a partial or overdue transfer are received in Shopify, its alert changes on the next sync.
  • Alerts are shown only in Nucleo. There are no alert emails, whatever the Notifications tab of the Stores settings shows: check Alerts as part of the store routine. See Stores settings.
  • An overdue alert needs an expected arrival date on the transfer. Set it in Shopify when you create the transfer.
